We have finally got the OK from the Urban design team for the Resource Consent of the Alfred st property.
This has been a bit of a saga from council where we started off with excellent comments from planner at the pre app meeting in July. Then we lodge a couple of months later only to find in December that the current planner and urban designer not being in favour of the design. We then redesign, relodge in February to find the urban designer had left and the new urban designer team member wanted to back again.
So learning I take away from this is not to have pre-app meetings, lodge the consent and deal with one planner and urban designer.
Now myself, our planners and architect frustrated decide to take this to the lead and within 4 weeks we have approval from the urban design team.
